Khaddar shawls should be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting the shawl, instead gently press the water out. Hang the shawl to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight and heat. Steam ironing or dry cleaning is not recommended for khaddar shawls as it may damage the fabric and design.
